Just south of the Leopold Canal, you'll find the Bomloze Put. A place where cattle used to sleep is where you will now find a gorgeous B&B. Indeed, the former stables of the Waterputhoeve have been transformed into wonderful accommodation. You are right next to the Meetjesland creek area here. But if you want to look a little further afield, that's possible too. The Leopold Canal is just around the corner and leads you to Damme and Bruges.

In the Meetjesland polders, you will find the recently renovated holiday home Zonnehof, near Sint-Margriete. Sink into one of our 12 comfy beds, or enjoy the tranquillity on our 2 terraces. You can hear the rustle of the wind across the broad fields. You can see a heron having a ball in the creek behind. A kestrel hangs in the air with his eyes on its prey. That's right, here you can get away from it all for a while.
De Molenkreek (Sint-Margriete)
If you want to stay close to the creeks, De Molenkreek (Mill Creek), as its name suggests, is the perfect choice, with the creek literally curling around this farmhouse. When the operators of De Molenkreek first saw this farmhouse back in the day, it was love at first sight. That's probably why you'll often see this wonderful spot in photos on the Meetjesland. It's a picture, as they say. And a very hospitable environment close to the Belgian-Dutch border.
B&B De Hemelse Polder (Sint-Laureins)
Another top address right in the heart of the creek area. Not too far from the Roeselare creek and for tourists who still know 'the old road' to Retranchement, on the way from Ghent to one of the most beautiful spots by the sea in this part of Europe. Right in the heart of the Zwinstreek, but also 100% Sint-Laureins and therefore "Endless Enjoyment".
Holiday home Heilige Rita (Waterland-Oudeman)
The village name 'Waterland-Oudeman' already conjures up images of a pleasant stay in the Meetjesland creek area. From this border village, you can get to know Zeeland Flanders by bike, as well as our glistening creeks and miles of dikes on the Belgian side of the border. Pop into De Roste Muis and sample delicious eel, or another regional dish with Muizebier.
Nummer tien (Waterland-Oudeman)
This holiday home is also located in the border village of Waterland-Oudeman. The owners of this accommodation, the De Causemaecker family, are involved in the 'Boer Zoekt Bank' (Farmer Seeks Bank) project. You can cycle through our magnificent polder region, coming across picnic benches every now and then. Time to take a break and enjoy the peace and tranquillity here on the border.
